RewardQuest – Privacy Policy

📋 1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Nishaan Tech handles information in connection with the RewardQuest mobile application ("the App").

RewardQuest is a gamified task and reward management app designed to help children aged 5–12 build healthy habits through completing tasks, earning coins, and redeeming rewards — all under parent supervision.

As parents ourselves, we are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of children and families who use our App. Please read this policy carefully.

👶 2. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

RewardQuest is designed for use by children under the age of 13, under direct parental supervision. We comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
• A parent or guardian must provide consent before the App is used.
• Children's profiles (name, avatar) are stored locally on the device only and are never transmitted.
• Parents can delete all data at any time by uninstalling the App.

📦 3. Information We Collect

RewardQuest is an offline-first, local-storage app. The following information may be entered by users and is stored only on the device:

• Child's first name or nickname — used to personalise the experience
• Avatar selection — a cartoon animal chosen from a preset list
• Task and reward data — tasks created by parents, completion history, coin balances
• Parent PIN — stored locally to protect the parent settings zone

None of this information is transmitted to us or any third party. It exists solely on your device.

📊 4. Optional Anonymous Analytics

RewardQuest may use Firebase Crashlytics for crash and stability reporting. This is:

• Optional — parents are asked for consent during onboarding
• Anonymous — no personal data, names, or child information is included
• Limited to crash logs, device OS version, and app version

If you do not consent to analytics, the App functions fully without it. You can change this preference at any time in Parent Settings.

Firebase Crashlytics is provided by Google. Their privacy policy is available at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

🔗 5. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with third parties for any purpose.

• No advertising networks have access to any data
• No marketing platforms receive any information
• No data brokers are involved in any way

📵 6. Permissions

RewardQuest requests only the permissions necessary for core functionality:

• Storage — to save task and reward data locally on your device
• Internet — only if optional analytics consent is granted (crash reporting)

We do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or any other sensitive device feature.

🔒 7. Data Security

All app data is stored in a secure local database on your device using Android Room with appropriate encryption. The parent zone is protected by a user-set PIN.

Since data is not transmitted to external servers, there is no risk of server-side data breaches affecting your family's information.

🗑️ 8. Data Deletion

You can delete all RewardQuest data at any time by uninstalling the app from your device. This permanently removes all locally stored data including child profiles, tasks, rewards, and settings.

There is no cloud backup — once uninstalled, data cannot be recovered.

✏️ 9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify users through an in-app notice.

Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage parents to review this policy periodically.

As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:

• Review any information stored about your child (accessible directly in the App)
• Delete all data by uninstalling the App
• Opt out of anonymous analytics at any time via Parent Settings
